Does 'Paranormal Activity 3' have a lot of shaky-cam?
My girlfriend is prone to motion sickness. Is there a lot of hand-held video camera action in the movie? Or mostly still cameras on tripods/security cameras?
I want to know if you guys know a website I can go to for motion detectors?
I want motion detectors for around my house for the outside and I want it to quietly tell me when there is movement. There has been roberys happening around my neighborhood so I am hooking up security cameras and motion sensors.
Is there a minimum time that security camera video from North Carolina police stations must be kept?
I was charged with DWI back in February and during the officer’s testimony in court, he lied in the description of my performance of field sobriety tests done at the police station.
I blew a .08 on the breathalyzer, but somehow, according to the testimony of the arresting officer, I was extremely unbalanced, making figure 8 motions, using my arms for balance, and placed my foot down on multiple occasions to regain my balance. All of that is false.
I know the police station had security cameras in the room where the tests were done. I know the video will prove my innocence and the officer’s perjury. I’ve subpoenaed for the video but if it’s reported as destroyed, I want to have a reference that I can quote that states the minimum time required to retain the video.
I know that in the military, official correspondence is required to be retained for 3 years from the date written. Is there a minimum time that security camera video is required to be retained before it can be deleted? This occurred in Jones County, North Carolina.
Sad that it’s gotten to the point where one has to prove his own innocence instead of being proven guilty.
How would you do a high tech burglary?
with everything you could think of. go crazy. motion senors, iris scans, security cameras, 10 digit pin numbers, complicated locks, encrypted info. please! i cant think of anything!
what's a good framerate for a home security camera?
i’ve seen tons of footage from security cameras on tv & the internet, i’ve seen some videos that look like terribly crude slow motion, i don’t want that! i’ve seen some that are 30 fps, 60 fps, and 100+ fps. is 30 fps choppy?

Where to find a motion sensor?
I’m looking for a motion sensor like the ones found in high tech security cameras. I want it to be able to sense when someone is moving, and then be able to follow the moving person/object, like when a security camera ‘locks on’ to a moving person and the camera pans to follow the subject. Where can I find something like this? I don’t need the camera, just the motion sensor/ motor that would be in the camera and allow it to follow things.

Constructive criticism on my novel excerpt?
Background info: June is undercover, and she is part of a group of humans who are not allowed to use electronics, such as computers and phones.
———
“So you’ll have the project done?” Clarice glanced up from inspecting her nails.
“Uh, s-sure. I’ll have it do-done by Friday.” June shifted from toe to toe and fumbled with her fingers.
“Great!” Clarice said sweetly, “Thanks, Jamie. You’re a doll.” With that, she turned and left, her white-blond hair flared out behind her and slapped June in the face. “Ciao, darling,” she called out as she glided round the corner.
June straightened and narrowed her eyes at the empty corridor, ‘Ciao, b*tch.’
She ambled to the point where all four hallways met and pulled out the phone Jason had given her. June frowned – the device was still foreign to her, and holding it made her feel odd. Solum were never meant to have access to such things.
She floundered with typing in the number. Why would they make the buttons so small? Finally, she was able to reach the other side.
“Jeez, June, I thought you’d take forever.”
June ignored the remark, “Are you ready?”
“I’ve been ready for the past hour,” Jason sounded indignant. “The question is, are you ready?”
She felt at where her knife was strapped beneath her skirt, “Yes.”
Jason mumbled incoherently, and June heard the rapid tapping of keys on the other line. “Alrighty, the security cameras should be turning off any moment now.”
She looked at the nearest camera, hidden between the exit sign and a row of lockers. It froze it’s swivelling motion and abruptly it’s red light went off.
EDIT:
‘Jaimie’ is June’s alias.

Need help van keeps getting broken into?
OK Starting out 3 weeks ago I had my van broken into. All he got was my stereo head unit and my GPS. My neighbors saw him and he ran off before he could take anything else.
The next night he came back and tried to open the door again. Once again my neighbors scaried him off. I went out the following week and had alarm and a new stereo head unit put in the van. I also installed security cameras on top of the house facing the van and a motion sensor on the entrance to my driveway. Two nights later I get him on video running into my yard and setting off my alarm by pulling on the door. He ran away before I could get outside.
The next week the same guy showed up at 10AM during the day with a baseball bat and walked right up to the car drawing back like he was going to bust out the window. My neighbor once again came out and threatened to shoot the guy if he didn’t leave. The police came out but the guy was long gone.
We know what he looks like and have a description of the car but the license plate is in the back windshield and he takes it down when he pulls up to the house.
The police won’t help all they say is call us if you see him in the area but the problem is he is a smash and grab kinda guy. I can’t afford to keep fixing my van and there really isn’t anything in there worth stealing now. A junk 0 stereo is all.
My question is what can I do about this guy? Anyone have any suggestions? My neighbor suggested loading my shotgun with buckshot and taking out the guys tire when he tries to leave. Anyone happen to know if this is legal? I would hate to go to jail for trying to stop this guy but I am running out of options here.
It’s not just my van either he’s targeting several of my neighbors have been hit as well. The guy hits and runs never at the same car for more than a couple minutes and is long gone before the police even have a chance to come out.
And please don’t tell me to wait it out the cops will catch him eventually. Yeah they might but even then I doubt if I see any money paid back for damages or any of the property he stole returned. I need a fix for this now….
