Recommendation for a web-cam to capture a stalker.?

To start off, I’ve already been to the police and the court systems and have a restraining order against this individual. Even though I have this restraining order and have reported every time this person has "popped up" at several locations I’ve been to, I am certain this person has been on my property when I’m gone (I can’t go into the details).

I would like to know if anyone could recommend a good web-cam. I don’t have the money for a security system and survalance (sp?) cameras, but figured if I had something I could hook up to my PC computer and leave it on while I’m gone, it may help as evidence. I’m not very familiar with the web-cams and their programs and I don’t think I need web-casting (unless if someone knows of an easy and free one, I’d look into it). I plan on setting the web-cam in my window, looking down from a second floor window. It would be nice if it had a time-lapse feature and/or motion detector capability so that it records for a period of time if it sees motion (ie. someone walking across my lawn or driving slowly past my house). Also money, or lack of it, is a little bit of an issue, but not entirely. What megapixels are recommended, keeping in mind I’m trying to capture someone on video and it’s being recorded from a second floor window.

Any other advice would be appreciated. Please, keep the information pertaining to the web-cam, not what I should be doing to this individual.

Next door in this apartment a person is dealing Drugs. I set up a security system to protect my wife. The alarm went off and I went out back and sure enough he was taking money in exchange for Drugs. I had a fire inspector look at the property and said it was not a fire exit and to lock the gate since it was attached to my apartment. I slowed down the activities on the side and behind my apartment and installed a motion Detector device to light up the space behind my apartment. The next door tendant said "I was history, if this kept up" interference. What should I do

security system?

I would like an outdoor single camera security system that can detect motion and begin recording. It should be able to store the video onto a video tape or my computer or something. I need it so that if my car or something has been broken into in my driveway or parked on the street, I will have it on video for the police.

If there is some system that has a light to be triggered with the video that would be good as well.

I am 16 so I don’t have alot of money to spend, but my windshield was broken last night for no apparent reason, and I feel helpless in this situation, and I can’t afford to continually replace the windshield if it is broken again.

We have had some trouble recently with someone messing with our cars while we are gone. We want to purchase an inexpensive home security camera, something we can set up outside. But it would have to be motion activated, and possibly be able to view in the dark.
