Security Camera Question?

Last year I had troubles with someone vandalizing my Christmas decorations. I bought a wireless camera and the receiver for my front yard security and flood lights on a motion sensor. I also have an ATI TV tuner card with the RCA video/audio – input. My receiver can connect to the A/V input and I can record the video to my hard drive. I don’t want to leave this 24/7 and have to review hours of footage. Instead, I would like it to only record onto my HD when the motion sensors are activated, and then keep recording for 5 or 10 minutes and turn off. What additional hardware and/or software do I need to accomplish this?
Thanks,
Joe

Home security systems.?

Does anyone know about home security. I want to hook up a motion detector to a camera and then to to a computer.
Is that at all possible or are there other ways of capturing the "bad guy" on a PC hard drive?

i need help securing my office…?

Hey all,

I work in a sales office and i need to place a camera security system in it, cause my appointments have come up with other sales people…
So i was looking online and i have found out a little bit but not what i needed. i want at least one camera (motion sensitive) to record to a hard drive so that i can take the hard drive home and watch the video…. i have set up a network in the office that doesnt have an internet connection so the camera can be wireless… any ideas?
also, we are talking paper files, thats why i need a camera.

Where can I find Security devices for my house?

I need two higher quality cameras, set to go off when IR beams are crossed with either 1 or a series of pictures. That relay the pictures to either a computer or hard drive. Also a small motion activated GPS that would hide inside of a safe and activate if the safe is moved, and only when moved. I need all the materials for the project, any suggestions?

Saving security camera video to a hard drive.?

I have a hard drive that is hooked up to my wireless router as a storage drive. I want to get a motion sensor light, and a security camera to monitor my driveway. What would be the best way of getting a security camera to be able to save the video it records to the hard drive that is connected to my wireless router? I want to be able to fast forward through the nighttime footage and stop it when I see the motion sensing light come on (hence, someone is around my driveway/cars). What is the best affordable (>0) setup that I could accomplish this with. I have searched all over amazon.com and a couple other sites and have found the SVAT CV31 with good reviews, but no one mentions saving the video to a hard drive. Thanks in advance.

I need an outdoor security camera to watch my back yard?

I’m looking for something that’s less than 0, that will monitor my back yard, ideally something wireless. I would like something that can stream to a computer, so wireless b/g is needed. Also, I would prefer something that was able to take decent images at dusk, because one of the concerns I have are deer eating at my garden. I don’t want to have to buy a 24hr VCR, or any other equipment, but streaming to a hard drive is no issue.

If possible I’d like something that was motion activated, so that I don’t have to sit through 12 hours of video every time a deer eats something.

Also, any software recommendations for this would be appreciated.
How much will I need to spend?
Those seem like a little bit of overkill. I don’t need super high quality footage. Just good enough to see where the deer are coming from, and which way the person who keeps stealing my humane squirrel traps comes from.
